SealaPave™ is a solvent free cost effective way of rejuvenating and sealing existing asphalt driveways and pavements. As well as prolonging the surface life, the sealer blackens and refreshes the asphalt surface giving the look of a new black asphalt layer. SealaPave™ provides protection against moisture and frost damage – asphalt’s worst deformer, and is suitable for not only driveways and pavements, but also parking areas and other external asphalt surfaces. Gilsonite is one of SealaPave’s™ base material’s whose properties are renowned for strength and heat resistance.

Application and Preparation

Installation initially involves ensuring the surface is free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, fuel, mud, leaves and foliage. Ideal temperatures for applying SealaPave™ is between 10°C and 30°C at a rate of 0.5 litres per square metre. The treated area can be usable after a minimum of 8 hours, however in high ambient temperatures for example summer time, the treated area can be in use within fewer hours at the decreation of the installer considering climate conditions. Driveways with an incline of more than 10° are not suitable for a SealaPave™ application as the material will run and not adhere. The surface for treatment must be free from standing water before, during and after the application for at least 8 hours and the environment must be frost free throughout the application process.

Supply and Delivery

Bituchem supplies SealaPave™ in either 25 litre or 200 litre containers to suit buyer’s needs. It is recommended to apply SealaPave™ with a brush or squeegee.
