March 2010 – Natratex is approved for Milton Keynes Bus Lane on a new build link road between the A4146 and A5130 near the Kingston area. The link road will act as an access road to a new housing development. A dual carriageway system has been designed to serve the development whereby one lane is designated to general traffic which is a high stone content Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) Surface Coarse. In total 290 tonnes of material covering approximately 3000 square metres was laid over two days by the surfacing contractor Spade Oak of High Wycombe.
The specially formulated clear binder used in Natratex forms a fully bonded natural aggregate wearing course that is long lasting and low maintenance with a selection of natural aggregates available. Natratex is a hot applied process with a similar manufacture and application method to that of traditional macadam. Unlike other landscaping solutions, Natratex can be applied in nearly all weather conditions and offers quick installation time. Natratex is an environmentally sympathetic and durable surface solution that can be specified to satisfy individual design requirements for roads, footpaths, driveways, playgrounds and car parks.
