Helping reduce Carbon Footprint both on and off site

At Bituchem we are gradually developing and implementing ways to reduce carbon emissions through the way we work and the products we produce. At our production site we are able to reuse raw materials in the production of our finished products. Changing fuels at the production site has allowed for the plant to run cleaner, efficiently which has effectively optimised plant efficiency.

With the development of our new road treatment product FortSeal, we aim to reduce the carbon footprint of road surfacing by over 90%. FortSeal is a low cost road surface rejuvenator which will prolong a road surfaces’ life. Being an emulsion, the use of solvents is minimised, lowering the dangers of exposure to plants, animals and humans on installation.

SealaPave is the packaged equivalent of FortSeal which is for use within the domestic market where smaller quantities are required.

Developing road surface rejuvenators, preservatives, and efficient methods of production will contribute towards sustainable road maintenance which we are proud to be participating in.
